Retired plod......30 years at the sharp end and bl**dy glad to see the back of it.

My profile picture is from my retirement year of 2010 when myself and four other guys cycled the length of the D-day landing beaches. Having a right royal laugh at the antics along the way.

Grandfather served with the local TF then joined 1/6th South Staffs in WW1 near Hill 60. (survived)

Uncle was part of 6 Airlanding brigade (Ox&Bucks) landing by Horsa on D-day near Ranville.

He was WIA on D-day +6 shipped back to Blighty but returned to his unit for battle of Bulge and the Rhine crossing. Served in Palestine prior to de-mob.
